Common questions

How do students join a class?

Give students the class code shown on your screen while class is live. They enter it and pick their first name from the list. They do not need an email, password, or Google account. Codes work only while the class is live.

A student missed class. How do they catch up?

After you end a class, ALC creates a catch-up link. The student opens it and enters their catch-up PIN. The PIN is not the class code. Teachers can see or reset PINs.

How do teachers sign in?

Sign in with your Google account, then enter the 6-digit code we email you. If Google says your account isn't registered, you haven't been invited yet. Request access, or ask your school's ALC admin.

How do I get access?

ALC is invite-only. Fill in the Request access form and we'll reply by email.

What's the difference between End and Quit?

End saves attendance, participation, and the catch-up link. Quit saves nothing and deletes that session's data right away.
